The round trip is 148 km and totals around three hours of driving.&nbsp;

In the wild, the saltwater crocodile has an average life span of 75 years (a lot longer in captivity), but they don&rsquo;t typically die of &lsquo;old age&rsquo; issues or disease.&nbsp;Mortality in saltwater crocodiles is usually the result of conflict with other crocodiles, which can happen at any age.&nbsp;

The Croc Bus offers return shuttle transfers from Darwin City to Adelaide River for the complete Top End crocodile experience.

After pick-up from the central meeting place in the Darwin CBD, you&#39;ll begin the journey south towards the Adelaide River.&nbsp;On the way to the cruise, you&#39;ll stop at Humpty Doo, 45 min out of Darwin.&nbsp;Here you&#39;ll get the chance to stretch your legs and take a photo with the biggest boxing crocodile in the world, standing at 13 metres tall.

The second stop is the big highlight of the day! See crocs up close and personal on a small (yet) safe boat that cruises the Adelaide River. You may get to meet the famous Crocodile Brutus, who has made his way to fame through his size and ability to jump out of the water.

&nbsp;

Throughout the 1 hr cruise, you will see the territorial crocodiles (who all have names) at very close range for exceptional photo opportunities and vivid memories. However, crocodiles aren&#39;t all you may see on tour &ndash; there are some fantastic birds of prey that love to perform for the boats while you cruise past.

&nbsp;

After the cruise, there&#39;s one last stop on the way back to Darwin.&nbsp;Fogg Dam Conservation Park is a beautiful wetland landscape with vast wildlife, including birds, insects, fish, buffalo, wallabies, and some of the largest reptiles in the world.

Your transport will be onboard a comfortable 24-seater bus with functioning aircon, windows that open and plenty of cold water on tap (bring a refill bottle). Well spent

Absolute amazing trip! Quirky news paper articles about crocs that you can read on the way to and from the croc cruise. Great Commentary! Tons of wildlife as we start to drive down the dirt road.
Heaps of different types of birds, we seen buffalos from a far and a Goanna up close. All this before the cruise. Wait I didn’t mention the giant Boxing Crocodile in Humpty doo. 

Anyway the best part was the croc cruise. 1 hour of thrill. You are so close to these creatures you could pat them, I still felt very safe though. We seen crocs between 30cm to 6m! And the landscape of the river system is extremely interesting. I could spend a whole day out there. 

And to top it off we drove through this place called Fogg dam and we seen a different type of crocodile (freshie) heaps of water birds, wallabies, huge opens fields that used to be rice fields. 

Then a Crusiey ride back in the air-coned bus!
